What Is It

From Chalky Grey to Deep Gloss Black

Exterior plastic trim — door handles, mirror casings, bumper strips, arch liners, roof rails — fades from rich black to chalky grey under Abu Dhabi's relentless UV. It is one of the things that ages a car fastest visually.

Our restorer uses a deep-penetrating polymer that conditions the plastic itself, replenishing the oils and pigments UV has stripped away. The result is a consistent rich black, sealed against future fading.

Full Breakdown

Everything That's Included

A 9-step restoration from assessment to UV sealant, for a deep finish that actually lasts.

01

Trim Condition Assessment

All exterior plastic is checked for fading level, overspray, and contamination to pick the right method.

02

Trim Surface Cleaning

Dedicated trim cleaner and a soft brush lift road grime, wax residue, and white chalky deposits.

03

Degreasing & Prep Wipe

IPA and degreaser strip silicone, old dressings, and oils so the restorer can penetrate fully.

04

Trim Restorer — First Coat

Deep-penetrating restorer worked into the plastic with applicator pads, starting the colour restoration.

05

Second Coat — Build & Deepen

A second pass builds depth, filling remaining grey tones for an even finish across every piece.

06

UV Protective Sealant Layer

A UV-resistant sealant goes over the restored trim, slowing the re-fading caused by intense sun.

07

Edge & Detail Work

Tight edges and the trim-to-paint boundary detailed so nothing bleeds onto paint or glass.

08

Excess Removal & Buff

Excess buffed off with clean microfibre for a consistent satin-black across all trim.

09

Final Inspection

Every treated piece checked for even finish, clean edges, and no product on glass or paint.

Why Restore It?

5 Reasons to Restore Your Trim Today

Grey trim gone, black restored — the detail that makes the whole car look newer.

Instantly Makes Your Car Look Younger

Faded, chalky trim is one of the clearest signs of age. Deep black trim takes years off the car instantly.

Penetrating Formula, Not Surface Coverage

The restorer conditions the plastic from within — a natural, lasting result that dressings cannot match.

UV Protection Slows Re-Fading

A UV sealant over the restored trim delays the fading that otherwise returns within weeks here.

A Fraction of Replacement Cost

New OEM roof rails, mirror casings, and arch trims run into the hundreds or thousands of dirhams.

Maximises Resale Appeal

Grey trim reads as neglect. Uniform black trim signals a well-kept car and lifts the asking price.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

A deep-penetrating polymer product that brings faded, grey, or chalky exterior plastic back to black. Unlike surface dressings, it penetrates the plastic compound and replenishes the oils and pigments UV has stripped away — a genuine restoration rather than a temporary coating.

It depends on the original fading, the plastic type, and sun exposure afterwards. With our formula and UV sealant, most customers get 6 to 12 months before a touch-up. Cars parked outdoors here fade sooner than garaged ones.

Yes. The two-coat process builds depth even on heavily oxidised, near-white plastic. Trim with deep cracking or crazing from extreme UV may not come back perfectly even — we assess and tell you honestly before starting.

Considerably. Dressings sit on the surface, wash off within days, attract dust, and streak. The restorer works inside the plastic for a more natural, longer-lasting result, and our treatment adds a UV sealant that dressings never include.

Yes — noticeably. Intense UV, surface temperatures of 80–90°C on plastic in summer, and little shade for parked cars speed up oxidation far beyond cooler climates. Many cars here show heavy trim fading within 3 to 5 years.

It works on virtually all unpainted exterior trim — ABS, polypropylene, rubber-coated trim, and the TPO used on bumpers and arch liners. Not suitable for painted panels or chrome-effect surfaces. We identify each trim type during assessment.

Wash regularly with pH-neutral shampoo and avoid harsh alkaline cleaners that strip the sealant. Do not scrub trim with abrasive brushes. A trim-specific UV protectant every 2 to 3 months extends results, and shaded parking helps the most.
